Seventh Circle - We are One!
Seventh Circle Artworks & Aesthetics in Moseley Village turn one! They’re growing up so fast!
Seventh Circle Christmaaas!!
Festive drumrolls can be heard faintly building in the distance!!! The season is almost upon us, we are mega excited for our first Christmas in the gallery, but we also have more reasons to sink a snowball or two!!
Firstly, we want to raise a glass to say thank you to everyone who has supported us since our beginnings at the end of 2019 through to Seventh Circle Version 2.0 in the beautiful, leafy suburb of Moseley, Birmingham. Six months has flown by!
Secondly, we have an exciting new artist we are introducing on Thursday 24th November in the shape of Tomas Rowell. Tomas will be joining us in the gallery on Saturday 26th to share his Seventh Circle collection.
His work is about using everything and anything, applying structure to a potentially chaotic artwork. Bright, bold, vivid, and vibrant, his style is unmistakable - you may have seen a mural or two of his around Birmingham. Surprisingly, his favourite colour is black; we knew we were going to work well together!!
And finally, it goes without saying it’ll be CHRISTMAS TIME!!! We are gearing up to be positively bursting with oodles of unique gifts that will make the perfect pressie for your loved ones, you know it makes sense to pop in!
Please join us on Saturday 26th November between 4pm till 6pm – remember to RSVP – we’ve had some banging events since opening the gallery, this one is set to be just as awesome! Click here to RSVP Count me in!

Birmingham Open Studios - Hosting ‘Paint Live’ with Mitch Schofield
We feel so privileged to be taking part in this year's 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮
The Birmingham Open Studios, now in its sixth year, is an established event in the Birmingham arts calendar and is back with over 100 artists participating.
Owen De Visser, founder of Birmingham Open Studios explains that the event spanning two consecutive weekends is all about breaking down barriers between artists and art lovers, and we second that motion! Here at Seventh Circle, making art accessible to everybody in a welcoming environment is what we are all about.
For the event, local artist and encaustic expert 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 will be joining us in the gallery to demonstrate her practice, the 2000 year old technique of encaustic painting in modern times. Mitch paints with molten beeswax, pigments and tree resin and applies extreme heat to fuse the artwork together. We didn't know much about encaustic art before we met Mitch so we're excited to be able to share this with the public. The dates for the diary are both 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟮𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟭𝟭𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟱𝗽𝗺 looking forward to seeing you!!
SLEEPSPARROW - ‘AN EMERGING HEAVEN’
In ‘An Emerging Heaven’, Sophie toys with the idea of light versus dark, with her ingenious use of bold block colour and black and white optical illusion. Twisting her previous upbeat Portal series on its head, she creates paths that lead nowhere - or maybe somewhere, maybe the end?
