LAURA TINALD

Laura, an artist and illustrator based in Birmingham, has a long-standing passion for drawing and painting. She primarily works with inks and pencils on paper, creating detailed and bold artwork that is both intricate and fluid. Despite the seemingly effortless look of her work, Laura’s process is careful and precise.

Music and film, particularly from the 60s to the early 80s, greatly influences Laura’s work, and this is reflected in her choice of colours. Her work also draws inspiration from various artists, including fashion illustrators René Gruau and David Downton, Arthur Rackham, Quentin Blake, Alphonse Mucha, and Ralph Steadman. She has a particular fondness for the simplicity of da Vinci’s notebook sketches.
